ConnieMack was elected to his second term in the United States Congress in November of 2006 to represent Florida's 14th Congressional District. He currently serves on three committees -- Transportation and Infrastructure; Foreign Affairs; and Budget -- allowing him to effectively represent the needs of Southwest Florida.
CongressmanMack previously served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2000 to 2003. As a member of the Florida Legislature, he established himself as a champion for mainstream conservative values, and was named Deputy Majority Leader in just his second term.
ConnieMack was born and raised in Southwest Florida and is a graduate of the University of Florida. ; He is the son of former United States SenatorConnieMack and well-known cancer prevention advocate Priscilla Mack.
Mack's son Earle Mack played several games for the A's between 1910 and 1914, and also managed the team for parts of the 1937 and 1939 seasons when his father was too ill to do so.
In more recent years, his descendents have taken to politics: Mack's grandson ConnieMack III was a member of the United States Congress from Florida from 1983-2001, and great-grandson ConnieMack IV is a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Florida's 14th Congressional District.
