The Conservatorium Maastricht is a music school in Maastricht (the Netherlands). It is part of the Zuyd University for the Bachelor programme and the Zuid Nederlandse Hogeschool voor Muziek for the Postgraduate programme. The Fontys Conservatorium (Tilburg) and the Conservatorium Maastricht co-operate in this graduate program. The training found at the various Conservatories in the Netherlands comes under the heading "Hoger Beroepsonderwijs" (in short HBO) which means Higher Professional Education. The number of foreign students is ca. 60% from more than 20 different countries. After consultation, non-Dutch speaking students can take exams in French, German or English. Also, theses and other work can be written in one of these 3 languages. Many lessons and courses can be offered in English.
