Constant Huret, knicknamed "le Boulanger" (the Baker), of Ressons, France (January 26, 1870 - September 18, 1951) was a long distance track racing cyclist. He won the 600km Bordeaux - Paris road race (known as The Derby of the Road) in 1899 and held the record winning time for 34 years. He was also the 1900 world velodrome champion and won the Bol d'Or four times.


He is depicted in Le Chaine Simpson by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec racing for the Simpson Chain team.

In 1964, Suntour invented the slant-parallelogram rear derailleur, which allows the jockey wheels to maintain a more constant distance from the different sized sprockets, resulting in easier shifting.
