Each of the 12 regions in Namibia is further subdivided into a constituency. The number and size of each constituency varies with the size and population of each region. There are currently 102 constituencies in Namibia. Further, each constituency votes for one councillor for the regional council of each region. There are currently 12 regional councils, corresponding to the 12 regions of Namibia. The most populous constituency is Hakanana, located inside of Windhoek. The least populous is Okatjali, in Oshana.

The most common meaning of constituency occurs in politics and means either the group of people from whom an individual or organization hopes to attract support, or the group of people or geographical area that a particular elected representative or group of elected representatives represents.
In Canada, constituencies are legally known as electoral districts (in French, circonscriptions) for Members of Parliament and Members of Legislative Assemblies at the provincial level, although "constituency" and the informal term "riding" (or "comté" in French) are also used.
Constituencies for local government elections are called either Wards or electoral divisions.

Namibia, officially the Republic of Namibia, is a country in southern Africa on the Atlantic coast.
Namibia's bicameral parliament consists of the National Council with twenty six seats, occupied by two members chosen from each regional council to serve six-year terms; and the National Assembly of seventy eight seats, of which seventy two members are elected by popular vote, and six non-voting members are appointed by the president.
Child labour occurs in Namibia, and the country is in the process or formulating an Action Programme on the Elimination of Child Labour, which is expected to be adopted in the period 2006-2007.
