"Contributors to the Cause" was the name of an American issue of postage stamps issued in 1975 as part of the celebrations surrounding the American Bicentennial. The stamps were meant to commemorate the unsung heroes of the American Revolution. The four individuals featured on the stamps were:

Common Cause believes it will strengthen the hand of citizen advocates and watchdog groups by working to increase the enforcement of financial and lobbying disclosure laws, as well as acting to promote legislation which would require lobbyists and campaign donors to fully disclose their activities and donations instantly on the Internet.
Another issue raised by Common Cause is their belief that the George W. Bush Administration, in addition to many state and local government bodies, have placed harsh restrictions on the information freely available to the press and public, thus rolling back important freedoms previously passed to prevent abuses of power under the shroud of secrecy.
Common Cause argues that the right to vote should be automatically restored to people who have been convicted of a felony and have served their time in prison.
