Cookstown Town in south central Ontario, about 80 km north of Toronto via the Highway 400. Part of the Town of Innisfil. New Tecumseth/Essa and Bradford-West Gwillimbury almost surrounds Cookstown except for the northeast. The farmlands lie to the west and north and around the forested areas. The forests and the hills are to the south and east. The superhighway (Highway 400) is located east with its interchange 4 km east. It is located 18 km E of Alliston, about 24 km (old: 20 km) south of Barrie, about 12 km W of Innisfill town centre and about 10 km N of Bond Head. It is accessed by two roads, one linking it with Alliston; Shelburne and (highway 400) (Highway 89) and a road linking it to Schomberg and Thornton (Highway 27).
