Corbin, along with his coaching staff, are a tireless group that saw their recruiting efforts pay off last fall as the 2005 recruiting class was labeled the nation's best by Baseball America.
In 2004, Corbin not only directed the Commodores to their first NCAA Tournament appearance in 24 years, he guided them to their first-ever Super Regional as they swept through the Charlottesville Regional with victories over George Mason, Princeton and host Virginia.
Corbin's dedication and attention to detail caught the eye of the national baseball publication Baseball America on numerous occasions.
Corbin's Title VII claims for failing to allege the Postal Service discriminated against her on the basis of any protected classification, and also dismissed her constitutional claims as barred by the doctrine of sovereign immunity and the exclusive remedy provisions of the Rehabilitation Act.
Corbin argues that by treating her unfairly and subjecting her to essentially the same discriminatory conduct giving rise to her Title VII claim, the Postal Service violated the rules and regulations contained in the collective bargaining agreement applicable to the postal employees in her unit.
Corbin also raises the doctrine of equitable estoppel in her reply brief, arguing that her supervisor told her to file an EEO complaint instead of a grievance under the procedures outlined in the collective bargaining agreement and that she reasonably relied on the instruction to her detriment.
