 | Corinaldo was probably founded in the 6th century, when, after the barbaric invasions, the inhabitants took shelter in new villages which could be better protected on a hill. |
| When in the 15th century the Communes were not autonomous anymore, Corinaldo became again part of the States of the Church. |
| Along the streets in the old town it is possible to see elegant Baroque buildings, among which the Town Hall of the 18th century preceded by a high portico, rising near the ex Augustinians Monastery of the 18th century. |
