Cornelia is 14 years old, and is the second-oldest of the current group of Guardians of Kandrakar, each with a different elemental power. She attends Sheffield Institute with the other four Guardians. She is a competitive ice-skater and has won numerous medals for her skills displayed in the sport. She has a cat named Napoleon, and a younger sister named Lillian who is somewhat of a pain in the neck. She has long blonde hair and blue eyes. Cornelia's father is named Harold Hale and runs a very successful bank. Her mother is named Elizabeth Landon, and is very strict. Her favorite school subject is History, and she was born on May 10, making her a Taurus. Personality
The eldest daughter of a high-class family, Cornelia is somewhat a materialistic person, who cares a lot about her looks and fashion. In the comic/books Cornelia is annoyed that Will is the leader and not her as she is better at leading than following. Cornelia is also overconfident and thinks she can do just about anything by herself. Still she is deep down a considerate person who can be very romantic. She is not always the most positive person, but manages to get through obstacles with an attitude. She is also very firm and stubborn, and the least likely of the Guardians to accept or believe something, as was shown the very time that she became a Guardian. In the comic, Cornelia is calm and normally friendly. In the television show she's more of a spoiled child. She can be quite vain and sarcastic, caring more about fashion, beauty, "coolness", and her looks much more than her comic book self does, so much to the point that she sometimes even insults them because of their fashion and appearance. She still has a good heart, showing this kinder streak several times, like during Hay Lin's brief breakdown towards the end of the second season.
Relationships Before being friends with and a part of W.I.T.C.H. Cornelia was best friends with Elyon Brown first and friends with also Hay Lin and Irma. When Will and Taranee came to town she was open to them being part of the group, but through trials of the Guardians and friendship, she proved that she had become best friends with Will and the others, without alienating Elyon, even though she sometimes was left out. Cornelia isn't flirty, as her romantic feelings are firmly set on Caleb. Elyon Brown is a fictional character in comic book W.I.T.C.H. and the television series of the same name. ...

In the cartoon, Cornelia's sister Lillian is the Heart of Earth, and had powers like Elyon's, but didn't know it. To keep her safe until she could use her powers properly, Cornelia tricked her into handing her powers to their cat Napoleon, Matt Olsen and Will's dormouse Mr. Huggles. It is also revealed that it is because of this relationship that she was chosen as the Guardian of Earth, so she could guide her sister to use her powers wisely.
Powers Cornelia controls Earth. Earth Guardians are Geokinetic and Chlorokinetic. They can manipulate the Earth, and control the growth of plants. Before falling under Nerissa's spell, Kadma taught Cornelia a skill called "Green Speaking", where an Earth Guardian can communicate with vegetation. Cornelia has the ability of Telekinesis, allowing her to move objects with the power of her mind. Cornelia has also shown the ability to change to Guardian size but without the clothes change, growth of wings, or increased power. Psychokinesis (literally mind-movement) or PK is the more commonly used term today for what in the past was known as telekinesis (literally distant-movement). It refers to the psi ability to influence the behavior of matter by mental intention (or possibly some other aspect of mental activity) alone. ...
Elemental Abilities Cornelia Hale is the Guardian of Earth. In the TV Show, at first she thought her powers were lame (and not real) because she could only grow plants, but she quickly discovered her powers were much more important than that, and learned how to create earthquakes, and control stone, wood and ground. In the comic book, Cornelia thinks her abilities are much more impressive than the other Guardians and shows them off. Cornelia can also get visions from the earth and from plants and talk to them. She can also create and teleport things that come directly from earth, like flowers and vegetation.
Advanced Element Abilities In the comic book, Cornelia discovered at home that she was telekinetic, and could move objects with her mind. She has a minor control over the sense of hearing, by making others emit the sounds of animals when calling them the animal's name, like she did with Lillian to express her annoyance with her, calling her "a little toad" and making Lillian croak. She also has the ability to heal wounds using the "warmth of the earth" as seen when she heals Taranee's inflamed wrist. In the TV series, she received her telekinesis power in the second season and used it to move a trash can under Sandpit. If she combines her powers with Elyon, she can create openings in the Veil erected by Kandrakar, also a tremendous earthquake in both Earth and Meridian. Psychokinesis (literally mind-movement) or PK is the more commonly used term today for what in the past was known as telekinesis (literally distant-movement). It refers to the psi ability to influence the behavior of matter by mental intention (or possibly some other aspect of mental activity) alone. ...

Trivia The information in this section lacks context. The article could be improved by integrating relevant items into the main text and removing inappropriate items. (August 2007) - Cornelia can't swim, and seems to be hydrophobic. Unfortunately, Peter, the boy she has a slight crush on, is a surfer, and she secretly wants power over water. (When the Guardians have the chance to switch elements, Cornelia picks water). Another incident that shows her fear of water is when the cave with a portal to Meridian floods with water and Cornelia frantically begs Irma to "do something".
