Corner Brook[1] (http://www.cornerbrook.com) is a city located in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador, located on the Humber River. As of 2001, the population was 20,103. The area of the city is 148.27 square kilometres.


In 1999, Corner Brook, along with Deer Lake, Pasadena, and Stephenville, hosted the Canada Games. The Canada Games Centre, now called the Pepsi Centre, was built for this event.


Corner Brook is home to the Corner Brook Pulp & Paper Mill, which is one of the major employers in and around the community. Sir Wilfred Grenfell College, a division of Memorial University of Newfoundland, has its home in Corner Brook.
