In the fictional Star Wars saga, the Corporate Alliance is the negotiating body for several of the galaxy's largest commercial firms. Because of its position, the Corporate Alliance was able to control the sales and the distribution methods of its member companies. Thus the Corporate Alliance was very wealthy and had considerable influence in the Galactic Senate. During the last days of the Republic, the Corporate Alliance was represented in the Senate by its Magistrate Passel Argente. Like the Trade Federation and Intergalactic Banking Clan, the Corporate Alliance had its own security forces to defend its interests and to seize any territory it desired. However the Corporate Alliance began to use its security forces to conquer rather than defend and many of its leaders became frustrated with the bureaucracy in the Senate which limited the Alliance's profits. Eventually, the Corporate Alliance allied itself with Count Dooku's emerging Separatist movement with the promise of unlimited profit under a new government. During the Clone Wars, the Corporate Alliance pledge its security forces and the deadly Tank Droid. After the devastating Clone Wars, the Corporate Alliance like the other commerce guilds faded into oblivion. It should not be confused with the Corporate Sector.
