History Corral City originally began as a mobile-home park in the late 1960s, but the popularity of alcohol sales in the otherwise-dry Denton County, Texas spurred it to incorporate in 1973. With that incorporation, the town was able to vote to sell alcohol, and continues to do so from a prime location just north of the Texas Motor Speedway. As part of a plan to allow alcohol sales at the Speedway, Corral City was briefly home to Justice of the Peace Precinct 7, which encompassed the Speedway portion of Fort Worth, Texas as well as slivers of land designed to reach from the city to the Speedway.
