This is a listing of past and present correctional facilities run by the provincial government in Ontario, Canada. Provincial jails and detention centres primarily house offenders awaiting trial. Correctional centres house convicted inmates serving sentences of two years, less a day. Offenders sentenced to three years or more serve their time in federal correctional facilities run by Corrections Canada. Complex's are institutions that have both detention and correctional facilities.
