Description

Cosmo and Wanda are the married fairy godparents of Timmy Turner, the main character on the show and they themselves are the secondary protagonists of the show. A protagonist is the main figure of a piece of literature or drama and has the main part or role. ...

They disguise themselves in public, and they are distinguished from each other by their coloring; pink for Wanda, and green for Cosmo (unless they are transformed into goldfish, in which case they are orange and their eyes become the corresponding colors). This also applies to most of their other disguises (which all have faces) yet none of the other characters usually suspect a thing. However, several characters have noticed this, but pay it no heed. When Cosmo and Wanda were disguised as salt and pepper shakers, (Cosmo as the salt and Wanda as the pepper), Timmy's dad shook the salt (Cosmo) over his food, only stopping because Cosmo's screams made him lose his appetite, and another time when Timmy's dad, going through a mid-life crisis, believed he was hallucinating that his towels had faces. Vicky also noticed Cosmo and Wanda as squirrels, and remarked later in her diary that the "green squirrel" was cute, accompanied with a drawing of a green squirrel wearing Cosmo's standard shirt-and-tie. Their most common disguise is as goldfish who live in a bowl on Timmy's nightstand. Revealed in the 77 Secrets of the Fairly OddParents, Cosmo always thought Wanda was in control of his destiny. Cosmo was originally envisioned as a strict gentleman, but was later made into a dim-witted and hyperactive guy. In all three of the The Jimmy Timmy Power Hour episodes, the characters from Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius always think that Cosmo and Wanda are computer-generated programs. In the first crossover, Jimmy thinks that Fairy World was a computer reality and doesn't believe that Cosmo and Wanda are magical creatures (because he only believes in science). If Jimmy were to discover the truth, it is unknown if Timmy would lose Cosmo and Wanda, since Jimmy and his friends are from another reality. The Jimmy/Timmy Power Hour is the fourth Nicktoons crossover story, set between The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius and The Fairly OddParents. ...

Their castle inside the fishbowl had been featured several times in the series; later in the series it was revealed that it has many confusing hallways and doors like a real castle. A term used to describe a place or event of intense scrutiny. ...

In the earlier episodes, Cosmo and Wanda were more of a team, with both acting playfully daffy. In later episodes the couple became the more formulaic smart one/stupid one, as Cosmo often comes off as oblivious to others' feelings and safety, and he often undermines his wife's attempts to protect Timmy from his own naïve and potentially dangerous wishes. Despite all this, he loves Wanda deeply. Although Wanda is more rational of the two, she reluctantly grants even Timmy's stupidest wishes. She loves Cosmo despite his bad characteristics because he's good-hearted, he makes her laugh and as soon as he becomes aware that Wanda or Timmy are in danger he will fight to protect them. He has also been seen fighting for Wanda's honor and love against a far more skilled fairy, Juandisimo. The only thing that can distract Wanda from her godparenting duties and her devotion to Cosmo is her addiction to chocolate, which is mentioned in several episodes and has been exploited by both Timmy and Norm to get her to do what they want. She dislikes Mama Cosma (Cosmo's mother), although Wanda's compassion and integrity once lead her to help Cosmo care for Mama Cosma when she was coping with an illness. Wanda's appearance has changed slightly over the series. In the first season she was drawn with light pink skin, though eventually her skin tone changed to match Cosmo's, which is a more human-like flesh tone. This article is about modern humans. ...

In one episode (The Boy Who Would Be Queen), Timmy wished Cosmo to be a woman and Wanda to be a man. The resulting Cosma and Wando were still a couple, though Wando took on the appearance of a bald, working class slob while Cosma looked like a housewife of the 1960's. Their voices were unchanged, though they did find out interesting things about the opposite gender (Cosma wondering how she suddenly knew which boy bands rocked out loud while Wando wondered why he didn't mind scratching himself all over in public). This episode also revealed that Cosmo had a different nose. For other uses, see Nose (disambiguation). ...

By the episode "Apartnership!" Cosmo & Wanda have been married for 9,895 years, and yet they still never had kids of their own until the TV movie "Fairly OddBaby", with the arrival of Poof.

Mama Cosma

Cosmo's overprotective mother, Mama Cosma, is a domineering mother who smothers her son Cosmo and greatly dislikes Wanda. Cosmo, who had been working as a waiter at a local diner at the time, fell in love with and married Wanda, but told his mother that he was going out for some milk. Cosmo's father, Papa Cosmo, appeared in one cartoon when Cosmo (as a baby) accidentally turned him into a fly. He never reappeared since, probably since he was still a fly. (In the flashback sequence, Mama Cosma was taller and thinner.) Mama Cosma calls Cosmo "Cosmo-lo-lo" among many other names and bakes "I-rather-dislike-Wanda" cookies (cookies with Wanda's face on them with a pink "no" sign [Ø]) ("Apartnership!"). Her reason for her disliking Wanda was revealed in the first episode in which she appeared, stating that "It's not Wanda. I'd dislike anyone who took my Cosmo-lo-lo away" and showing that Star and Twinkle (two fairies who have been waiting 9,895 years to marry Cosmo) are actually robots. Unfortunately for Wanda, this means Mama Cosma will never stop pestering her.

Big Daddy

Wanda's father, Big Daddy, is head of the Fairy World mafia. He currently holds a monopoly on the garbage disposal business. In an episode where Big Daddy is kidnapped, Wanda has to take over the family business. (The kidnapper is later found out to be Mama Cosma.) Big Daddy hates Cosmo due to his stupidity and the fact that he rarely listens to Wanda, which parallels Mama Cosma's hatred of Wanda. Despite their hate for their children's spouses, they are in love with each other. In the episode "Big Wanda," Big Daddy is seen sleeping with his stuffed horse head, Mr. Nay-Nay, an obvious reference to the decapitated horse's head seen in The Godfather. Cosmo seems to be addicted to Mr. Nay Nay. His wife, who is Wanda and Blonda's mother, never appears in the show though has been mentioned. Apparently she might no longer be around, Big Daddy divorced her for some reason or got rid of her. He is a former gangster from Sicily in the group known as the Mafia. Blonda

Wanda has an "identical yet somehow hotter" sister named Blonda, who looks the same except that she has blonde hair, is self-centered and lacks Wanda's affectionate nature. In her debut, Mary Hart and Bob Goen guest starred as Fairy Hart (Mary Hart) and Bob Glimmer (Bob Goen). Blonda stars in the popular Fairy World soap opera All My Biceps. In one episode, Wanda said to Blonda, "Mom always liked you best". That statement was the only reference to their mother who never appeared in the series. It is also borrowed from the classic Smothers Brothers routine in which Tommy Smothers would accuse his brother Dickie of being their mother's favorite. It was revealed in the TV movie Fairy Idol that Blonda dyes her hair and she is actually a brunette, although it would make more sense that her hair was naturally pink since Wanda and Blonda are supposedly identical. However, during Lucky 7, it is shown that Wanda also dyes her hair, so she must also be a brunette. She is also supposedly the only fairy in Fairywood (the Fairyworld Hollywood) never to win a Zappy (Fairyworld equivalent of an Oscar). She and Wanda hate each other but made up until Wanda won the Zappy Blonda thought she was going to after which the two returned to hating each other. Poof

Poof is Cosmo and Wanda's baby son. He first appeared in Fairly OddBaby to mark the beginning of the new season. He has extraordinary powers which are contained by a magical rattle given by Jorgan Von Strangle. Oddly in Fairy World, the father has the baby. During his pregnancy Cosmo experiences barfing purple sparkly barf all over Timmy, odd cravings (including Timmy's vintage baseball cards), and mood swings. Poof was highly sought-after by the Anti-fairies, Pixies and Jorgan himself because of the pure, untapped magic inside him. His laugh does good things, his crying does bad things, his hiccups cause natural disasters and when he burps, the nearest person gets electrocuted, and when he breaks wind reality itself seems to fall apart. Before he was officially named, his name was being constantly changed by all the characters to things like: Twinkle, Lil' T, Barfolomew, Napolean, and Elvis. The strange thing is that he bears a very extremely strong resemblance to a girl due to the weird fact that he wears purple and has eyelashes. For other uses, see Napoleon (disambiguation). ... Other godchildren

Cosmo and Wanda have also been fairy godparents to many other notable figures before (sometimes, oddly, during) Timmy.

  • Mary Ann : A really evil girl, appeared in the episode "Hassle in the Castle" as one of the really bad godchildren. It was also revealed that she was the one who sprung the world into World War I by having Archduke Franz Ferdinand disappear. This contradicts the rulebook ('Da Rules') against wishing for death or could be the reason why the rule was made.
  • Tina Turner : Among their other former godchildren was pop singer Tina Turner (or Timmy Turner's mother) as pointed out in the episode "Hassle in the Castle". Her face wasn't seen.
  • Billy Gates : Another one of their godchildren was Microsoft owner and billionaire Bill Gates, as seen in the episode, "Father Time." Supposedly Cosmo & Wanda helped little Billy with his "crazy" ideas including something called the "Internet". Bill Gates, in reality, had very little to do with inventing the internet. It was a descendent of the ARPANET, a project that was funded in 1969. Gates is also seen in the hall of fame in the episode "Hassle in the Castle".
  • Denzel Crocker : before one of Timmy's accidents (actually caused by Cosmo's stupidity) revealed that Crocker had fairy godparents.
  • Vicky : In "The Switch Glitch," Cosmo and Wanda were actually given to Vicky by mistake after she was turned into a five-year-old and made miserable by Timmy.
  • Tootie : In Birthday Wish, Timmy gives Cosmo and Wanda to Tootie for her birthday over guilt.
  • Chester McBadbat : When Timmy wished he was never born, Cosmo and Wanda would have been given to Chester instead of Timmy. Also, in the TV movie "Fairy Idol", they would have been given to Chester if Norm the Genie hadn't interfered.
  • Tommy and Tammy Turner : The children of Timmy and an unknown wife (probably Trixie or Tootie) share Cosmo and Wanda as revelaed in the TV-movie Channel Chasers.
  • Carl Wheezer, Sheen Estevez, and Libby Folfax : In The Jimmy Timmy Power Hour 2: When Nerds Collide, Timmy wished that Cosmo and Wanda would grant any wish Carl, Sheen, or Libby asked for so the three would leave him and Cindy alone.
  • The Nega-Chin : The evil version of the Crimson Chin was given the power to make any wish he wanted after being mistaken by the Crimson Chin. Timmy never unwished those powers, so it is unclear whether or not he will return and take control of Cosmo and Wanda again (in the episode Mighty Mom and Dyno Dad meet The Crimson Chin).
  • Sammy : Sammy, along with Mary Ann and Pierre, is a part of Cosmo and Wanda's group of bad godchildren. He claims that he's the one who made it so tornadoes always hit trailers. The wish that Sammy has done is not accurately evil, only egoist.
  • Pierre : Pierre's bad wish is that all French people be rude to Americans. Like Sammy's wish, this one is egoist rather than evil.[citation needed]
  • Artie Aaronson, Googie Sarakaya and Heather Wilson: All that is known about them, besides their looks, is that, like Crocker, Billy Gates and Tina Turner, they're also in the Hall of Fame.
  • Ned Bigby : in the Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide short titled "Day Dreaming", which aired on February 5, 2005, Cosmo and Wanda appeared to help Ned.

Many others can be seen in the "Hassle in the Castle" episode, hanging in either the 'Hall of Infamy' (bad godchildren) or in the Godkid hall of Fame for good children. To which Timmy belongs to is unclear: his personal picture room is localed in the 'Hall of Infamy'. The Hall of Timmy features pictures of good times Timmy has had with his god parents. However, it should be noted that the door that connects the Hall of Infamy to the Hall of Timmy connects to other places depending on where the knob is placed. “The Great War ” redirects here. ... Cosmo's pets

Cosmo has taken in the following pets: Image File history File links Emblem-important. ...

  • Phillip the "girl" nickel; seen in "Spaced Out" and later in "Hassle in the Castle". Is named "Phillip" despite the fact that its gender is female (as Cosmo reveals in "her" first appearance).
  • Steve the pig; seen in "Timvisible". Apparently Steve the pig lives in Cosmo's pants.
  • Snowball the Hydra (appeared as a three-headed winged dragon); seen in "This is Your Wish".
  • Carl the ant (deceased); seen in "Sleep Over and Over". He died when Cosmo accidentally let a magnifying glass fall and smash this poor ant.
  • Cindy the bee (deceased); seen in "Sleep Over and Over". A bird ate Cindy when Cosmo was pursuing the bee as his new friend.
  • Jimmy the cat (6/9 lives remaining); seen in "Sleep Over and Over".
  • Rock; seen in "Most Wanted Wish".

Of those, Cosmo discarded Rock because the rock could not understand that Cosmo cared for Timmy more. Cosmo keeps Phillip the nickel for comfort (like an imaginary friend), can make Snowball appear with his wand, and accidentally killed Carl, Cindy, and Jimmy (3 times actually). No one knows what happened to Steve. Either intentionally or coincidentally, Carl, Jimmy and Cindy (all of whom appeared in "Sleep Over and Over") share names with characters from The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, a Nickelodeon show that has crossed over with The Fairly OddParents three times. The Fairly OddParents - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (2490 words)
Just as his situation was particularly grim, he was granted a pair of fairy godparents, named Cosmo and Wanda, who had the power to grant his wishes and were charged with making Timmy happy.
Wanda, Cosmo's more sensible (and somewhat sarcastic) wife (although occasionally out of rage she will create wacky plans), must devote her time to ensuring both Timmy's and Cosmo's safety.
In the episode Power Mad, when Cosmo and Wanda act out T.V. programs, there were many pop-culture references, such as in the scene where there is a man on stage who married his car, a reference to the Jerry Springer Show, or Maury.
