The Cosmopolitan Party of Canada is a minor social democratic political party in Canada that began to develop in the 2000s.


The party promote human rights; social justice; cultural diversity; universality of social programs (including access to basic amenities of life, public healthcare, and higher education); and environmental protection. The party also advocates Canadian sovereignty.

The leadership of the Cosmopolitan Party of Canada, held a National Press Conference on May 20, 2004 in the Charles Lynch Room in Parliament Hill.
Cosmopolitan called the National Press Conference in order to alert Canadians about the apparent unlawful activities of Elections Canada in relation to the Cosmopolitan Party of Canada political party registration application; and the passage into statutory law of a Bill that is harmful to democracy in Canada.
Elections Canada can now act outside of the constitutional accountability of the human rights-focused Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms as "judge, jury and executioner" in collusion with a court system in which the judges are appointed by the same political Establishment.
