Cosmos Media Publications - "Promoting Lifelong Learning in Astronomy and Space Education"

Cosmos is an educational online publication launched in May 2005 as a collaborative effort between Cosmos Media Publications and the European Space Agency. The publication's main aim is to support teachers and science communicators across European nations by providing a range of resources and services that are accessible through multimedia formats.

It should not to be confused with Cosmos Magazine, an Australian science magazine established in November 2004 by the Sydney specialist publishing house Luna Media and sold on newstands in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. A science magazine is a periodical publication with news, opinions and reports about science for a non-expert audience. ...

As of September 2006 Astronomy Education within the UK will play a larger part in the Science Curriculum with the introduction of a new range of GCSE Science Courses, one of which will be GCSE Astronomy.

A number of organisations and teachers associations currently exist which aim to provide support and advice for educators wishing to teach this inspirational subject.
