The journey to Cossonay was largely uneventful, although the sky had cleared, the tour rules had been established and nicknames had been democratically allocated.
With Cossonay well behind the required run-rate, due to the accuracy of visiting bowlers, Anura in particular, their middle order took to many risks and, even though four catches were dropped, wickets fell steadily.
Cossonay steadied the ship and David Hayward posed a threat for a few overs as he quickly rattled up 23 runs, but the outcome of the match was sealed when he was superbly run out by Holton's accurate return from the deep mid-on boundary.
