The Costa Rican Renovation Party (Partido Renovación Costariccense) is a Christian political party in Costa Rica. At the last legislative elections, 3 february 2002, the party won 3.6 % of the popular vote and 1 out of 57 seats. At the presidential elections of the same date, its candidate, Justo Orozco Alvarez won 1.1 % of the vote. At the last legislative elections, 3 february 2002, the party won 3.6 % of the popular vote and 1 out of 57 seats.
At the presidential elections of the same date, its candidate, Justo Orozco won 1.1 % of the vote.

Costa Rica experienced several unusual days of demonstrations and civil disturbance in early 2000 due to protests over legislation that would have permitted private sector participation in the telecommunications and electrical power sectors.
Costa Rica's leading political parties are the Social Christian Unity Party (PUSC) and the National Liberation Party (PLN); others include the Partido Movimiento Libertario (PML) (Libertarian).
