Upon his marriage to Princess Mabel (Mabel Wisse-Smit), Prince Johan Friso gave up his rights to the throne and was therefore no longer a member of the Royal House. As such, all children of the couple will bear the titles of Count or Countess of Orange-Nassau, Baronet or Baroness of Amsberg, and the surname Van Oranje-Nassau van Amsberg. Neither Prince Friso nor Countess Luana are in the line of succession to the throne.
