There are two Counties of Portugal in different periods of the History of the Iberian Peninsula:

  • First County of Portugal formed by Vímara Peres that lasted from 868 to 1071.
  • Second County of Portugal formed by Henry of Burgundy in 1093 and that lasted until the independence of Portugal in 1939.
