Covarrubias is situated on a valley and through it passes the Arlanza (a river).


In Covarrubias one can visit many interesting places such as the Torreón, the Colegiata or the Archive. On the other hand, you may take the chance to know at first hand one of the origins of castellano/español and one of the first areas to be reconquested and repopulated after the islamic invasions in the late 9th century.


Covarrubias is well know in Spain due to its extraordinary beauty and welcoming spirit, as can be proved by the pressence of a close connection with France and Norway. Also its gastronomy is really diverse being its black pudding a huge phenomena in burgos province and producing one of the most valuable grapes and cherry harvests of the country.


A priviledged area that offers all the advantadges of a bathing and conoeing river plus the beauty of the surrounding ladscapes, as the one in Fuente Azul, 6 km away from the town.


Pure nature in a singular valley with soft temperatures and overwhelming people.
