Transport and access

Access via road to Cowan is via the Pacific Highway which traverses Cowan north through south. The Main North Railway Line runs parallel to the Pacific Highway through most of Cowan, and there is a railway station at Cowan served by Cityrail rail services. Most notably, railway signalling facilities are located at Cowan - these facilities include a 24-hour signals office and signalling/track-switching equipment. Electric overhead railway power facilities are located in the north of Cowan. Cowan station receives intercity services to Wyong and Sydney Terminal.
