Crawford is a town located in Lowndes County, Mississippi. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 655.

Crawford is located at 33°18'22" North, 88°37'19" West (33.306205, -88.621933)1.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 3.6 km˛ (1.4 mi˛). 3.6 km˛ (1.4 mi˛) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.
Demographics As of the census2 of 2000, there are 655 people, 209 households, and 163 families residing in the town. The population density is 180.6/km˛ (466.7/mi˛). There are 251 housing units at an average density of 69.2/km˛ (178.9/mi˛). The racial makeup of the town is 5.95% White, 93.13% African American, 0.31% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.15% from other races, and 0.46% from two or more races. 0.61% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 209 households out of which 45.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 31.6% are married couples living together, 42.1% have a female householder with no husband present, and 22.0% are non-families. 20.6% of all households are made up of individuals and 7.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.13 and the average family size is 3.67.
