Crawford Market is one of Bombay's most famous markets. It is named after Arthur Crawford, a former Municipal Commissioner of the city during British rule. It is now named Mahatma Phulé Market, although not widely known. The market is opposite the Mumbai Police headquarters just north of Victoria Terminus railway station in South Bombay. The market houses a wholesale fruit, vegetable and poultry market. One end of the market a pet store is present selling mostly aquatic and avian animals. The market is known for it beautiful Indo-Gothic architecture. Most of the sellers inside the market nowadays sell imported food items.


Crawford market also refers to the immediate surrounding areas.
