Trivia

  • The music video is the only video not included on the band's YouTube channel, with the exception of most of the Reanimation videos.
  • The girl in the video is Katelyn Rosaasen.
  • After the ice melts in the video, two of Linkin Park's four Hybrid Theory-era symbols can be seen on the platform.
  • The song was featured in Cartoon Network's advertisement for the anime series Gundam Wing on Toonami.
  • The bonus feature on the CD is the same footage that is a hidden Easter egg on Frat Party at the Pankake Festival.
  • The lyrics might also signify an effect of crystal meth in which the user has the sensation of bugs crawling in their skin which very much resembles what Chester sings during the chorus. This would make some sense as Chester was once an addict. The lyrics also describe somebody who goes through panic attacks, in which the victim, during the panic attacks, can not control whats going on, and in a way loses his/her grip on reality.
  • This was Phoenix's first video with the band. Phoenix returned to Linkin Park just before they began work on this video.
  • This song was covered by the German band Angelzoom.
  • A DVD limited edition of "Crawling" single was also released which includes a multiple angle version of "Crawling" that was performed at the Dragon Festival and four 30 seconds live snippets of "By Myself", "With You", "One Step Closer" and "A Place for My Head"
  • For live performances, "Crawling" remains one of their old songs and is still actively played.
