"Crazy for You" is the first single by pop singer Madonna from the soundtrack album and motion picture, Vision Quest. It was released on March 2, 1985 by Geffen Records. Released just three weeks after the release of "Material Girl", the song was Madonna's first song (along with "Gambler") that was written specifically for a soundtrack. On its original release the single was backed with Berlin's song, "No More Words". The song had already been a top 30 hit in the USA (as an A-side) in 1984, and was also a minor hit in Europe. In February 1991 the song was re-released in the UK having been included on The Immaculate Collection. Like the rest of the recordings on that compilation, "Crazy For You" was slightly remixed and edited (in this case by Shep Pettibone and Michael Hutchinson). It was this new remix found this single release. The single cover for the song's re-release was the same photo used on the cover of the U.S. release of "Rescue Me".
