Creature House Expression is a vector graphics editor that was developed by Creature House, which was later acquired by Microsoft. It will likely be the basis for "Sparkle", Microsoft's next-generation vector graphics software. Since June 2004, Expression 3.3 is available as a free download from Microsoft (registration required). Both Windows & Mac OS X versions are available, whereas Linux users can use WINE to install and run the Windows version without problems[1]. The download version also comes with a 200-page PDF manual for new users to get to know the program.
