The town lies approximately 2 kilometers West of Flin Flon, Manitoba. Because of the proximity between these two communities, there is a relatively high level of cross-border service sharing.
One of the most frequently accessed services of Flin Flon is the Flin Flon General Hospital, and Flin Flon Ambulance Service. Due to the small population of Creighton, the Government of Saskatchewan permits its residents in Creighton, Denare Beach, Sandy Bay, and Pellican Narrows to utilize the basic and emergency medical services of Flin Flon. The nearest Saskatchewan medical centre is in Prince Albert, 400 kilometers South-West of Creighton.
The town of Creighton is one of two municipalities with town status in northern Saskatchewan.
Creighton is situated on Highway #106 (the Hanson Lake Road to Smeaton and Prince Albert) and on Highway #167 (giving access to the picturesque Amisk Lake Resort).
Creighton has one Public Elementary School (K-9) with an enrollment of 450 pupils and a staff of 27 teachers, plus 10 support staff, one full and 2 part time librarians, a Home and School coordinator, as well as a Guidance Counsellor.
