Former residents of Creighton share fond memories of what was once a tight knit community. These memories continue to be passed on from the "Baby Boomer" generation. Creighton currently suffers from the occasional East wind which wafts the gases of solid waste, (dumped on the CVRD-INCO tailings site to the North-East) and creates a sense of sadness. Former resident Joe Maki termed this phenomenon, "The Winds of Shit", in a 2005 article appearing in the now defunct local newspaper, The Walden Observer. |
