Crescent is a town located in Oneida County, Wisconsin. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 2,071.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 84.7 km² (32.7 mi²). 76.0 km² (29.3 mi²) of it is land and 8.7 km² (3.4 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 10.30% water.

Demographics

As of the census² of 2000, there are 2,071 people, 797 households, and 608 families residing in the town. The population density is 27.3/km² (70.6/mi²). There are 1,034 housing units at an average density of 13.6/km² (35.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 98.17% White, 0.00% African American, 0.53% Native American, 0.82% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.48% from two or more races. 0.34% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 797 households out of which 32.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 65.6% are married couples living together, 6.5% have a female householder with no husband present, and 23.6% are non-families. 17.9% of all households are made up of individuals and 5.9% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.59 and the average family size is 2.95.
