Places of interest

Nearby there is historical Crews Hill Golf Course (see link below). On Whitewebbs Lane there is the Whitewebbs Museum of Transport. This is open from 9am - 4pm every Tuesday as well as the last Sunday of every month. There are exceptions to this. It hosts a variety of events. For a list see their website.


Further up the road is Whitewebbs Park. This is a country park and also hold the Enfield Municipal Golf Course. Please note that some of these places are not easily reached by public transport, especially Whitewebbs Park, although car parking is provided.

Watercourse

Turkey Brook rises near the Fir and Pond Woods local nature reserve near Potters Bar, Hertfordshire. At the end it merges with the River Lea Navigation below Enfield Lock. The brook flows in a easterly direction and is joined by other streams including Cuffley Brook, Cattlegate Brook and the Small River Lea. Along its course it flows through Cuffley, Crews Hill Golf Club, Clay Hill, Whitewebbs Park, Forty Hill and Albany Park. The brook is mostly shallow, fast flowing and clean and can support wildlife. Coarse fish including Dace use the brook to spawn.
