Crib Goch is a knife-edged arête in the Snowdonia National Park in Gwynedd, Wales. The highest point on the arête is 923 m above sea level. A path leads over the arête and three rock-pinnacles to a grassy col at Bwlch Coch. This first part of the ridge is very exposed and climbing it should not be attempted in high wind or by the inexperienced. Moreover, on fine days the ridge may be very busy and queues can form. Crib Goch - via Bwlch Goch and terrace (336 words)
This is an idyllic spot, but tinged with drama as you are surrounded by the huge crags of Crib Goch.
Hence the Bwlch is gained, and one can now choose to do Crib Goch and down to Pen y Pass, returning via the road, or go on to Snowdon itself via Crib y Ddsygl.
At the well troden path at the foot of Crib Goch's pinnacles, looking away from Crib Goch, one heads to the front right of the summit knoll at this point, heading diagonally down under the ridge.
