Crim plays as a very happy-go-lucky character, easygoing and sociable. He enjoys testing his skills against strong opponent, and is always ready to help anybody in need. He was a founder of Crimson Knights, but later he found the Knights premise did not match his personality and left the group. He is the only one who knows that Subaru is handicapped until he reveals the secret to Tsukasa in episode 23. As a token of their friendship, Crim gives Subaru his phone number, and encourages her to call him whenever she feels bad, and wants to talk about it. At first Crim is seen by Kite as a memory fragment. Later in .hack//Quarantine Crim runs into Kite where the latter is waiting for Subaru. Crim tells Kite that Subaru no longer plays The World, and that he'd like to help out, but is busy in the real world. Before leaving, he lets it slip that Kite has become a celebrity in The World. Crim can later be found wandering about the Root Towns, with numerous Heavy Axeman weapons available to trade.
