Crimson (Edge of Sanity album) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (421 words)
Crimson is a concept album by Edge of Sanity, recorded in 1996.
For several years, it was the longest song in all of metal, until Green Carnation released Light of Day, Day of Darkness, clocking in at 60 minutes.
Into this atmosphere of despair a child is born to the King and Queen of the barren Earth.
King Crimson - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (3850 words)
The name King Crimson was coined by Peter Sinfield as a synonym for Beelzebub, prince of demons; according to Fripp, Beelzebub would be an anglicised form of the Arabic phrase "B'il Sabab", meaning "the man with an aim".
The music of King Crimson was obviously grounded to some extent in the rock of the 1960s, and especially the acid rock and psychedelic music movements.
As a result of this influence, their first album is frequently viewed as the nominal starting point of the symphonic rock or progressive rock movements.
