Cristina Teuscher (born March 12, 1978 in New Rochelle, New York) is a former freestyle and medley swimmer from the United States, who was a member of the Women's Relay Team that won the gold medal in the 4x200m Freestyle a the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. Her winning teammates were Jenny Thompson, Trina Jackson, and Sheila Taormina. Four years later she captured the bronze medal in the 200m Individual Medley, at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. Cristina Teuscher Is Named Top Woman College Athlete (545 words)
Cristina Teuscher, already the finest women's swimmer and one of the most accomplished student-athletes in Ivy League history, was awarded the Honda-Broderick Cup as the nation's outstanding collegiate woman athlete.
Teuscher won NCAA championships in March in the 400-meter freestyle (4:04.09) and the 400-meter individual medley (4:33.81), each the second-fastest times in the world this year.
In addition to Teuscher and her fellow Honda Division I award winners, Honda Awards were presented to the Collegiate Woman Athlete of the Year for Division II schools, Jayne Even of North Dakota State, and the Division III winner, Alia Fischer of Washington (MO) University.

At the 1999 Pan Pacific Championships, Teuscher won a gold medal in the 4x200m freestyle relay and silver and bronze medals in the 200m individual medley and 400m individual medley, respectively.
Teuscher also captured a silver medal in the 200m freestyle at the 1995 Pan Pacific Championships.
