It is compromised of 12 modernized MiG-21 bisD/UMD fighters which were sent to an overhaul in 2003 and returned to service a year later for a cost of 8.5 million USD. Exercise Posejdon '94, held in November 1994, was the first major Croatian exercise for air and ground forces, and it showed how far the HRZ had come in a few short years.
