Crossroads of Twilight (abbreviated as CoT by fans) is the tenth book of The Wheel of Time fantasy series written by American author Robert Jordan. It was published by Tor Books and released on January 7, 2003. Upon its release, it immediately rose to the #1 position on the New York Times hardcover fiction bestseller list, making it the third Wheel of Time book to reach the #1 position on that list. It remained on the list for the next three months. However widespread fan opinion was that this was one of the worst books in the series, due to the fact that it quickly became mired in the actions of minor characters and hardly moved the overall plot forward at all, as it occupied the same time period as the previous book. Even Jordan admitted in a 2005 Podcast interview that this was potentially his worst work to date.
