The game is considered the eighth and last title in the Dizzy series, it had grown to being one of Codemasters most profitable franchises. Codemasters recognised that Christmnas was the best market to release the series in, so began work with a five man team in January 1991 and worked solidly for nine month making it the most tested and development title in the Dizzy series.
