There are four subspecies of the Cuban Parrot :

• A. l. leucocephala is present throughout Cuba and the Isle of Pines.
• A. l. bahamensis has two populations in the Bahamas, one on Abaco and one on Great Inagua.
• A. l. caymanensis lives on Grand Cayman Island.
• A. l. hesterna lives on Cayman Brac, also in the Cayman Islands.
