Cult is Apocalyptica's third album, released in 2000 with a special-edition released in 2001 containing an extra disc. This Album also saw a small trend starting in their single releases, as both Hope and Path have a second version called Path vol.2 or Hope vol.2 with lyrics sung by Sandra Nasic and Matthias Sayer and is their first album to use distorted Cellos. There are some versions of the first release with Path vol.2 as the first track and Path as the fourteenth. The Cult - Best of Rare Cult : album review (392 words)
Best of Rare Cult, as the title implies, draws from this box set and adds yet another four tracks to complete a fifteen-track "appetizer" CD which is, as the promotional material states, "an album in it's own right".
The box set must be aimed at die-hard fans and that means that this CD can only be for i) die-hard fans on a budget; ii) die-hard fans who want the four tracks on this CD which are not included in the box set.
Unlike Astbury's recent solo album, Spirit/Light/Speed, his vocal powers are well demonstrated on this compilation.
Electric (The Cult album) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (331 words)
Electric is the pivotal third album by The Cult.
Released in 1987, the album marked a deliberate stylistic change in the band from a goth to a hard rock group.
Eventually, with the release of the Rare Cult (boxed set) in 2000, the rest of the unreleased Steve Brown-produced album was made available.
