Plot

The Krusty Krab has no customers. Even the free salad bar attracts no-one. And the profits have hit rock bottom! Eugene H. Krabs has a meeting with Squidward Tentacles and SpongeBob SquarePants, and in order to increase the profits, Squidward and SpongeBob suggest ideas.

Ideas
SpongeBob: Free pair of socks with every meal
SpongeBob: double patty midnight madness
SpongeBob: Mouthful of clams day (Everyone who comes with a mouthful of clams gets a free drink)
Squidward: Talent show (Hosted by him)

Mr. Krabs accepts the talent show idea, and SpongeBob wants to be in it. However, Squidward says he can mop up after the show, despite the obvious talents of SpongeBob (Like making a dancing hippo-shaped bubble). At the talent show, Mr. Krabs' daughter Pearl the Whale shows her cheerleading skills which aren't very good. However, Mr. Krabs thinks that Pearl is famous. Also, there's Gary the Snail reciting a poem, but all he says repeatedly is "Meow." The third act is Sheldon J. Plankton being a magician, where he has to make a Krabby Patty disappear, but, instead, steals one (Mr. Krabs stops him though). Squidward dances like an idiot, making Joe Funny[citation needed] say "WHAT THE...?!" and throw tomatoes at Squidward along with his brother Don[citation needed] and the other people in the audience. So Mr. Krabs takes away the free salad bar and makes everyone pay $1 per tomato (Because they want to throw it at Squidward). Everyone's angry, until SpongeBob comes on stage and cleans up the floor. Everyone cheers, and Mr. Krabs earns lots of money.

Trivia/Goofs

  • Second time Plankton tried to steal the formula (in the series).
  • Acts in the talent show:
    • Pearl: Cheerleading the word "Krusty". Because she's so massive, every time she jumps, everyone leaps into the air and crashes onto the floor.
    • Gary: Poetry, which is no more than saying "meow" repeatedly.
    • Plankton: A magic trick involving a Krabby Patty to disappear (by grabbing it and taking it away). Mr. Krabs stopped him.
    • Squidward: A series of (terrible) dance numbers. Everyone started throwing tomatoes at him.
    • SpongeBob: Mopping the tomatoes off the stage (and dusting). Everyone liked it.
  • When Squidward gathers all the acts for the show, many of the people don't even have acts in the show.
  • Part of the music from Squidward's act was also used for the video game Battle for Bikini Bottom.
  • When Pearl cheers, she spells "K-R-U-S-T-Y", but when she says "T", it sounds like she's saying "Tay", which is sometimes mistaken as another "K".
  • When the talent show starts, Squidward says "Welcome to the first Annual Squidward Tentacles Talent Show...", but when Mr. Krabs talks to Squidward after SpongeBob cleans the stage, he says he will need another wheelbarrow for next week's show.
