Synopsis

Curtains is set in 1959 Boston and focuses on the pre-Broadway run of a musical entitled Robbin' Hood, an adaptation of the classic Sherwood Forest tale with a Western motif. The egregiously untalented leading lady is murdered during her opening night curtain call, and the entire company comes under suspicion. Called into solve the Homicide is Lt. Frank Cioffi, who has the building sequestered under the logic that the murderer must still be in the building. The company uses their spare time to attempt to fix the show's problems, and Cioffi, a theater fan and amateur actor, becomes more invovled with solving the show than solving the case. Meanwhile, the body count is rising and the secreats are surfacing, but can one police detective/musical fan save the show, solve the case and maybe even find love before the show reopens without getting killed himself?
