| Cyan Garamonde is a playable character in the Square Co., Ltd. video game Final Fantasy VI (originally released in North America as Final Fantasy III). Cyan hails from Doma, a country at war with the Gestahl Empire. He is retainer to the king of Doma, and the player first encounters him when Kefka secretly poisons the castle's water supply, killing everyone -- including the king, and Cyan's wife and child. Cyan is the only survivor. He meets up with Sabin and joins the Returners to seek vengeance against the Empire.
