Strory

Once the greedy corporate executives harnessed the extreme powers of their technological network, towering mechanized warriors known as Virturoids (VRs) quickly replaced the outdated warring methods of the past. The 49-foot destructive giants drew vast crowds and the conniving power hungry suits soon saw yet another way to exploit the mindless masses with industrialized combat performances known as Limited War. Mars was redeveloped as the battleground and hordes of people with an insatiable thirst for widespread destruction and carnage came from all over to gaze in awe as the battles commenced. Virturoids, or VRs for short, are immense mech robots that the player utilzes in the Sega action game Virtual On. ...


It wasn't long before the corporate climate disintegrated into rampant crime with heated battles over shares in this profitable new event. A Special Investigations Unit called "MARZ" was developed in an attempt to restore order. Members of the elite team were given the most superior machines available, rigged with lasers, rockets, and swords. The MARZ Virturoids came to rule the surface of Mars. Virturoids, or VRs for short, are immense mech robots that the player utilzes in the Sega action game Virtual On. ...


Gameplay

Virtual On Marz continues to adhere to its predescor's gameplay mechanics, ands features exactly the same gameplay including:

  1. "Virtual Twin Stick" controls assigned to the Dualshock 2's analog sticks
  2. New "Dramatic mode" witch features varied missions include assisted combat, boss battles, exploration, destruction of placement turrets, and well as earn new Virturoids by completing various prereqisites
  3. Play over 35 characters, unlocking new Virtuaroids at key points in the story
