Critics claim analysis of Cybercast stories show they do not conform to acceptable journalistic standards. In one story about Hurricane Katrina victim race statistics, the headline was a conclusion and not a neutral statement describing the content. It was written by Nathan Burchfiel, a college-aged conservative whose blog The Terrapin Times carries his CNSNews stories and is strictly an ideological conservative perspective. Burchfiel is a journalism student at the University of Maryland. Critics point out that stories like Walt Disney World's Gay Days--which passes its sixteenth anniversary in 2006--are only newsworthy to social conservatives and gays. Cybercast News Service's leadership consists of President Brent Bozell and Editor-in-Chief David Thibault, who became top editor in April 2005. Its editor from 1998-2005 was Scott Hogenson, who also worked as the chief of radio operations for the Republican National Committee in 2004. L.
