The Cybuster, Elemental Lord of the Wind

The Cybuster was one of the four Masou Kishin (Elemental Lords) developed by the Langran Kingdom. Due to its blessing by the God of the Wind, Cyfis, it was dubbed "The Elemental Lord of the Wind". Also, it's one of the seventeen Masouki (Elemental Machines) designed by Wendy Rasm Ignart, to fight the revival of the God of Destruction, Jashin Volkruss and its minions. This Masou Kishin is one of the fastest units created and the only one to gain the ability to transform.

The machine is powered by a Fulcanelli-type eternal engine, operating off the "Prana", or lifeforce, of the pilot. Its armor is constructed out of Orichalconium (presumably based on the legendary material orichalcum), arranged in such a way that the arrangement of its particles and geometrical structure provide magical protection to the unit. The Cybuster is basically equipped with same system equipment like the other Masouki, but what makes it different is the Laplace Demon Computer, a computer system, sought out by many, as it has the power to fore tell the future. Orichalcum is a legendary metal mentioned in several ancient writings, most notably the story of Atlantis as recounted in the Critias dialogue, recorded by Plato. ...

Apparently, during one of its early appearance on Earth, the Earth Federation designated this mech as AGX-005, which was later declared a misnomer, seeing that the Cybuster is also fighting against the Aerogaters.

Transformation

The unit is capable of a more flight beneficial mode known as the "Cybird", enhancing it's already terrible speed of movement, making it one of the fastest mecha in existance.

Special Ability

In his second battle against Granzon in La Gias, Cyfis make full posession with Masaki and Cybuster become invincible. However, Masaki's prana was completely drained afterward. In Super Robot Wars Alpha and Super Robot Wars Alpha Gaiden, Cyfis can perform weaker posession which grant less power but doesn't has fatal effect of prana drain. Granzon is a fictional giant robot from the Japanese video game series Super Robot Wars. ...

While not reflex by in-game status, Cybuster has ability to self-repair. It also able to travel between La Gias and surface world on its own.

Weapons

  • Caloric Missile:
A standard high class missile weapon of La Gias. Attack for target long range enemies. In Super Robot Wars Alpha Gaiden, Caloric missile turn out to be energy missile.
  • Death Cutter:
Standar sword of Langran Wind Masouki. It is made out of Zol Orichalconium (refined Orichalconium) Alloy. Masaki uses the Cybuster speed to strike the target with his sword for high damage. In Super Robot Wars Alpha Gaiden, it reveal that Cybuster actually summon the sword rather than store it. It was called Zephyr Sword in USA version.
  • Vanity Ripper:
An upgraded Death Cutter. Everything destroyed by the Vanity Ripper disintigrates to dust. This attack is only seen in Super Robot Wars Gaiden.
  • Familiar:
Pair of remote weapons, which rush toward the target, flying around it and striking it from various angles similar to funnel weapon from Gundam. The Cybuster's Familiar launches energy-based projectile. These familiar aren't controlled by Masaki, but by his familiars, the cats Shiro and Kuro. This attack is only seen in Super Robot Wars Gaiden.
  • High Familiar:
    Upgraded and stronger Familiars.
  • Akashik Buster:
One of the most powerful weapon, more mystical than technological. Cybuster would stab the ground with its sword, creating a pentagram and starts to gather Prana. The gathered Prana will then be channeled to the sword. The Prana would then be unleashed from sword in the form of a bird made of flames, and would destroy the helpless victim, if not seriously damaging it. This attack is seen in the earliest Super Robot Wars.
  • Akashik Buster (True Version):
An upgraded Akashik Buster. The Cybuster draws a pentagram in mid-air with its sword, summoning the bird made of flames, then gathers Prana on its body. Collecting and acquiring a huge amount of it, the Cybuster would rush forwards and transform in Cybird mode and chase the flaming bird, merging with it, crashing to its helpless victim.
  • Cosmo Nova:
Cybuster final attack; it creates four glowing energy spheres made of Prana, who originates from the Cybuster arms and they are hurled at the target. The target is engoulfed by the energy and obliterated. It's one of the most powerful weapon ever installed in a mecha, but unfortunately, it can be only used once, before Cybuster need to be recharged. This is the weapon Masaki used to destroy Bian Zoldark's Valsion, a robot soo powerful that most weapons cant even scratch it.
  • Death Cutter, Ranbu No Tachi (Fervent Dancing Sword):
A powerful final attack that Masaki learns later on, after an extensive traning in the Dimension of the Elements, in order to master it. Pulling out the Cybuster's sword, Masaki would gather an immense amount of Prana on the Cybuster, which would be channel all over the Masou Kishin's body. The Cybuster would then charge towards the target at high speed attacking the target viciously and rapidly with the sword that there is the illusion that multiple Cybuster are striking the target from all directions, until forming a performing a pentagram. Once the pentagram was formed, the Cybaster would end the attack with a swift straight slash, finally ripping the helpless target into ribbons. This attack is seen in Super Robot Wars Gaiden and Super Robot Wars Alpha Gaiden.
  • Cyflash:
Probably the most notable weapon at Masaki disposal, it is a large, spherical burst of Prana that originates from the Cybuster sword, destroying all enemies surrounding it in a large area. The fact that this weapon can be used while moving at full speed, and that it only causes damage to enemies, leaving ally in the area of effect unharmed makes it une of the most powerful and useful weapon in existance.

The Pilot, Masaki Andoh

Summoned to the undergound land of La Gias to the Langran Kingdom, Masaki was chosen to pilot the Cybuster due to his exceptional amount of Prana, due to his strong emotions. He has a very strong sense of justice, is honest, and impulsive. He is into all kinds of sports. He has no sense of direction and gets lost easily -it's not uncommon for him to fly his Cybuster many times around the planet before he is able to find Japan-, and he has a weakness of women.

In his first time in Langran, him was the pilot of the Wind Masouki Jaohm, but lately upgraded on the Cybuster, and received the honorary name of Randoll Zan Zenozakis, the name of the legendary hero that defeat Jashin Volkruss in the past.

It was adopted by Zeorot Zan Zenozakis (descendant of the hero), who train him during their first days in Langran. As the family of Masaki had died when him was a boy, Masaki accepts Zeorot, and his daughter, Presia, as their true family.

During the Catastrophe, Shu murdered Zeorot (the hate that Masaki feels Shu being born from then on), and after the destruction of Langran, escapes to the surface. Masaki, decides to follow it, leaving the future from Langran to the other pilots of the Masou Kishin.
