Encyclopedia > Cyclone (guitar)

The Cyclone is the name of an electric guitar made by Fender. The Cyclone is a modification of another Fender guitar, the Mustang.

The guitar uses a Fender Atomic Humbucker in the bridge, and a Tex-Mex pickup in the neck position. Instead of using switches like the Mustang, it uses a three-way switch on the lower part of the body. Since it does not use the switches the Mustang does, it uses a partially Stratocaster shaped pickguard. Also, instead of having the Mustang bridge, it uses a Stratocaster bridge. It is in the same scale as a Mustang.
