History

Czech warm blood (Český plnokrevník in Czech) is a kind of horse breed in the Czech Republic. This breed is known from the Austria-Hungary time. In 19. century came to light influence Spanish and Italian horses. At a later time they were interbreeded with halfblood horses (for example with Furioso, Gidran, Nonius, Przedswit). Body construction

Czech warm blood is a robust powerful horse bred with strong skeleton. This breed has a damn head, vehement horse-neck put on a stately body. A wither is inexpressive. A horseback is broad and long as well as afterbody. The hooves are quality, sometimes flat. A mane and horse-tail are very thick. While built nicely, Czech Warmbloods are of poorer composition than many other European warmblood breeds. Oldenburgs, Hanoverians, and Holsteiners are much better candidates to compete in modern day show jumping. Due to poor breeding early on, Czech Warmbloods have soundness problems when put under increased stress. They are also prone to hives, strangles and other illnesses.
