The designation DFS 6 is one, not entirely understood, of a German glider made in the 1930s. DFS model 6 May have been a target glider made only as a prototype in 1936 or may also be the same as the DFS B6, made in 1938. When the DFS took over all glider work in 1933, various glider names and projects were confused. The DFS B6 (crew: one; length: 20.342 ft., 6.200 m; wingspan: 52.493 ft., 16.000 m) may be totally unrelated, or the planes could be the same. Rhön-Rossitten Gesellschaft nationalized to form the DFS, often named its aircraft, Model (x). Such as the Model 4 a development glider made by Lippisch. There was indeed a model 6 made by Lippisch, but it was a very light glider known as the Storch Model 6, which was expermintal craft to test wing design, and neither could carry a pilot or used for target practice. Since this company went on to become the DFS it is not at all clear how it fits together.

Aircraft confused: RLM-GL/C:108-6,8-6, DFS Model 6, DFS B6.
