The DAAG mission is to provide academic administrators with opportunities for education, professional growth and networking while advocating responsible business offices in support of our Chairs in developing our departments and divisions as centers of excellence in education, research and patient care.
DAAG accomplishments include the establishment of a formal annual meeting, increase in membership participation from 14 participants in 1996 to 26 in 2003, creation of a newsletter, launch of a listserve for group discussions, presentations from guest speakers at annual DAAG meetings, surveys and survey results on miscellaneous topics.
DAAG goals are to increase member participation at the annual meeting, increase physician participation, formalize DAAG to assist in interfacing with other organizations and establish a process to collect dues to subsidize the annual meeting.
